Manuel Bornia is an experienced marketing executive, creative director, and technology developer based in South Florida. An avid foodie, Bornia founded and is the Managing Partner of the award winning marketing and communications agency Experimar Inc.
Since it’s founding, Experimar has become recognized as one of the region’s most prestigious agencies with an emphasis on food, the culinary arts and hospitality. Representing some of the most critically acclaimed restaurants and gourmet establishments in the region, state and on a national level. Bornia’s client list reads like a who’s-who of the restaurant world.
It is no coincidence that Bornia ended up specializing in the industry, as deep ties to food are in his family history. Grandson of renowned chef, author and personality, Ligia de Bornia, he developed a passion for food at a young age. De Bornia is widely considered one of the pre-eminent authorities in Latin American cooking having published over a dozen books. Most famously, La Cocina Dominicana (1971) which now in it’s 5th edition, it has been called the encyclopedia of Dominican cooking. Widely recognized across the Carribean, the Bornia family is synonymous with cook and food culture.
In addition to running his marketing and communications agency, Bornia recently embarked on the development of a food technology platform that is set to launch it’s beta phase in 2014.
